How do I find my research impact metrics?

Answer

Find research impact metrics, starting with h-index, using Scopus, Web of Science, and/or Google Scholar Citations.

  • Scopus: Use the "Authors" search to look up researchers individually, then click on the correct name to view their metrics and output, including the h-index.

  • Web of Science: Perform an author search, click on create citation report. The h-index will be included in the information provided.

  • Google Scholar Citations: Follow the directions to set up a profile.  The h-index will be included in the information provided.

What is H-index?

H-index (or Hirsch Index) is the most commonly used research metric for individual researchers. It is an index that measures both the productivity and impact of a given researcher. Jorge Hirsch proposed the h-index in 2005.
