About Weldoc (Doc. Delivery & Interlibrary Loan)

Weldoc is Welch Medical Library's Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service. It is the system you use to request and receive items that we either do not own in electronic format, such as journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, reports, and theses, or those items that are not immediately accessible. This service is provided free-of-charge to all CURRENT Hopkins faculty, staff and students.

* In order to use Weldoc you must register with Welch Medical Library https://inside.welch.jhmi.edu/secure/lib-card.cfm.

Fequently Asked Questions

• How long does it take to receive an item once I order it?


Depending on the item, an order may take anywhere from 1-2 days to 7 days to fill.

• If the library has an item in print only, can I still get an electronic copy of it?


Yes

• If there is an embargo (a publisher-instituted delay) on viewing full text of an article in a journal, can I still order it from Weldoc?


Yes

• What should I do if I get notified that my request cannot be filled due to a copyright restriction?


Reply back to the email notification, stating that you absolutely need the item for your research and/or clinical practice. Welch Medical Library will pay copyright fees for this purpose.

• The full text article I want is only available in HTML format. Can I order it in PDF from Weldoc?
