About MyWelch

MyWelch is a library online portal that you can customize to store and display your personal information sources, and is available to all faculty, staff and students of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Select and organize your favorite links to library services and electronic resources (journals, books and databases) that Welch Medical Library owns. MyWelch allows you to search PubMed, search the Web, bookmark favorite sites for news and current awareness, view academic and science calendars and much more. MyWelch is a protected interface that requires your JHED log-in and password. This automatically authenticates you and allows off campus, remote access capability without having to use the JHSecure VPN client. To access MyWelch, select it from the Quick Links drop down menu above.

• From a database (PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, Embase, PsycInfo, etc.)
• From the journal list on the Welch Medical Library E-Resources Page
• From a record in the JHU Libraries Catalog (the most comprehensive source for our holdings, both print and electronic)

Note: There will be instances when you might have difficulty accessing full text, even though you know we have an electronic subscription. This could be due to a browser issue, a subscription renewal that is in process, or a missing full-text icon, etc. Please review troubleshooting tips listed below.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Will MyWelch allow me remote access to the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and the Provider Order Entry (POE) systems?

No. MyWelch is only designed to allow remote access to library resources. You will need to run the JHSecure VPN client to access other JHMI systems.
