The editing provided by the editors listed in the directory is fee-based and is to be negotiated directly between the editor and the Hopkins researcher.

  • CRISP (Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects) Database
    Source of information for active and historical awarded projects supported by the NIH and some of the other HHS agencies.  Retired 10/2009. See NIH RePorter.

    The Office of the Secretary of State for Maryland maintains a searchable database of charitable organizations in Maryland.
  • GuideStar (Philanthropic Research, Inc.)
    GuideStar is a searchable database of more than 640,000 nonprofit organizations in the United States. It is not a funding opportunities database. This resource contains information about not-for-profit organizations. There is an advanced search feature which retrieves organizations in Maryland and by zip code within a geographic radius.
  • GrantsSmart (Canyon Research)
    GrantSmart is an informational and interactive resource center for and about the nonprofit community. It gathers data about private foundation activities that may be of interest to grantseekers, philanthropic organizations, and individual donors.
  • Foundation Finder (Foundation Center)
    Foundation Finder locates for more than 56,000 private and community foundations in the U.S.
