Welcome

The Welch Medical Library serves as the main library for the East Baltimore JHMI campus. Designed by Edward L. Tilton, the Indiana limestone building was erected in the Fall of 1929 and named after Dr. William H. Welch in recognition of his contribution in the creation of the library and in the establishment of the department of the History of Medicine. The library's current director is Nancy K. Roderer who was appointed in January 2000.
