Reinventing Your Business Model
Will Bryant, Associate Director, Finance & Administration
A few things about the article... 1) it is a bit technical in some areas, but you don't have to necessarily read and digest every aspect of the article 2) be sure to insert "user" in each reference to "customer" 3) be sure to insert "service" in each reference to "product" 4) think about the relevance to the changes occurring at Welch that are different from other libraries Here are some specific questions that we will discuss: 1) Why focus on the user first rather than the service? How do you measure and quantify "value" to users? 2) How do you affect change without losing perspective on core mission? 3) What can you leverage to ease the transition? What are conflict issues? 4) How do you evaluate the success of your new direction? When do you modify?
