"The Emerging Informationist Specialty: A Systematic Review of the Literature"
Blair Anton, Clinical Librarian, Clinical Liaison Services

Questions: 1. What are your thoughts on the informationist specialty in general? Is the role "emerging" in you, and if so, how? 2. On page 198, the article outlines informationists' characteristics. In Figure 1, they are described as defined and additional attributes, and in the section headed "Definition," they are categorized into qualifications, practice roles and practice settings. To what extent do we have these traits? Examples? 3. To what extent have we pursued what is described as formal training for the specialty? 4. Given the many areas needing study related to the informationist specialty, on which research question(s) listed on pps. 201-202 might we consider focusing? 5. Others?
